We often see discussion about the sheer volume of unedited books on Amazon and sometimes it is viewed as the one expense that doesn’t fit in the budget and is too easily cut from the process…this article, from a successful author, has some great points and more links that help break down types of editing and how important it is to the development of a book. Bottom line – the writer is always too close to the material to be objective, to be sure how a reader will receive the material, and their mind will tell them what they meant, not what they wrote. An experienced third party is critical to the process…no one person is a perfect writer and two heads are always better than one. Thank you, Tracy Kauffman, for this well written, very informative article that we are pleased to include in our collection of AHA moments!
Thanks for the kind remarks.
